The Marriage Certificate shows that both parties were widowed. George was a Marine Engineer and son of George Laird(Deceased) a Millwright and Margaret was daughter of Joseph Donovan(Deceased). Winesses were George Franks and Mary Franks(Flaherty), Margaret's daughter and sister of Bridget. There was an issue with the signatory on this cert which was apparently later corrected, but the cert indicates that the marriage was solmenized between George and Catherine Flaherty...
