Notes recorded by Ada, Maud Saunders (wife of Warwick Saunders, son of Martha Lawless) indicate that the rest of Jean's side of the family remained in France and at the time of writing her notes, she records that "there are still members living Cambrai and Malincourt. Amongst these are Pierre, Francois, born 1826 and his son Arthur (born 1846), the latter claiming to be descended from Pierre, Charles (7th child of Pierre 2nd), but his father traces their descent from Frederick Joseph (4th child) and we have thus entered it on the tree which accompanies these notes. Pierre, Francois some few years since resided at Malincourt and his son at Cambrai. They appear to spell their name with only one 'l' which is undoubtedly an error."

Jean married Elizabeth Hutin? in 1730.
